FENS REGIONAL MEETING (FRM) in Pecs (Hungary), September 20-23, 2017 

PNS awards 2 travel grants to support participation of young scientists in FRM. The amount of a stipend is 300 EURO. The stipend is intended to be used to assist towards travel and accommodation costs. 

An applicant should meet to following criteria:

- be a member of the Polish Neuroscience Society,
- be a PhD student of at least the third year of her/his PhD studies, or a researcher in a Polish laboratory
- be younger than 35 years,
- be the first author of an abstract submitted to FRM,

Recipients will be selected by the PNS Executive Committee based on the scientific merit of the abstract submitted to the meeting and the strength of related application materials.

The following documents are required:

- a cover letter justifying the application and a short description of the importance of results intended to be presented in FRM
  (max. 3000 characters and spaces)
- CV with a list of original publications and conference abstracts
- a copy of the abstract submitted to FRM
- a recommendation letter from the supervisor

Applications should be sent as one pdf file via e-mail only to: The deadline of sending applications is April 9, 2017. Prizes will be transferred to the fellows' bank accounts after FRM has ended on receipt of a certificate of attendance.

Please note that candidates may apply to several organizations but can not obtain several prizes or travel grants. Prizewinners of FENS or IBRO will not receive PNS travel grants.

About us

Polish Neuroscience Society was founded in 1991. The Society provides assistance in organization and supports development of studies of the nervous system. It brings together researchers conducting studies in this field and is involved in dissemination of knowledge. It is also engaged in popularization of neuroscience, organization of training courses, publication of related materials and represents Polish community of neuroscientists both in Poland and abroad.
