President: Żaneta Matuszek
The society was established in 2001. Our activity is based on weekly seminars prepared by society members. The meetings address issues related to neuroscience in a wide sense: from molecular biology to psychology. For this reason, the society members include students of biology, psychology, medical sciences, and recently also physicists and information technology students. Our activity involves also participation in conferences and other scientific events, and if possible, also practical training.
Co-presidents: Aleksandra Kołodziej oraz Zuzanna Moszczyńska.
The Neuroscience Society was established in 2005 at the Faculty of Psychology of the SWPS University in Warsaw. It provides a forum for discussions of problems, study results and the newest reports in neuroscience. Dr Mateusz Gola is a consultant of the society. Since 2005 the society has brought together a broad range of students interested in cognitive neuroscience and in exchanging views on its problems, experimental data and most recent developments. The society is also engaged in organization of the Science Festival, offering a series of different meetings and workshops. Moreover, since several years, it has successfully organized the Brain Day at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS)
